DESCRIPTION:TOUR DETAILS\nExperience the wonder of the holiday season by touring Lafayette Square on Sunday\, Dec. 8 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The self-guided Holiday Parlor Tour begins at the Park House\, 2023 Lafayette\, where tour-goers pick up their tickets\, starting at 9:30 am. This year’s tour features unique homes\, including Victorian-era “painted ladies” and two apartments in a beautifully renovated historic building that once housed canvas awnings and mops. Visitors are also in for a musical treat; singers from Opera Theatre St. Louis will perform songs of the season at one of the tour homes.\nThe day-long celebration includes a Holiday Market in the Fountain Plaza on Park Avenue where visitors can shop for unique gifts\, art\, Lafayette Square merchandise\, and sample delicious offerings from Lafayette Square’s top-rated restaurants. A feature not to be missed in the market is special guest\, Santa! Tour-goers can also ride in a horse-drawn carriage through beautiful Lafayette Park.\nA trolley is available to transport tour-goers around the neighborhood.\nTickets are $25 per person in advance and can be purchased online here. A limited number of day of tour tickets are $30 per person. Children under 12 are free.\nThe Lafayette Square Holiday Parlor Tour is presented by the Lafayette Square Restoration Committee (LSRC)\, a non-profit neighborhood organization\, which seeks to facilitate the preservation and redevelopment of Lafayette Square\, respecting its special historic character and enhancing its overall livability.
